Antoe Budiono

Antoe Budiono is a Malang-based artist widely recognized for his hyperrealistic paintings, which capture intricate visual details while offering thoughtful reflections on contemporary life. Through his practice, Budiono responds to a range of social and cultural phenomena, translating everyday observations into compelling visual narratives that invite deeper contemplation. Active in the art scene since 1990, he has participated in numerous exhibitions across Indonesia and internationally, including South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other countries throughout Asia. Over the course of his career, Budiono has established a consistent presence within both regional and international art platforms.

Among his recent exhibitions are MATA RANTAI presented by Studio Mahwetan, Tumapel, Malang (2025); New Hope with Art Xchange Gallery at Art Jakarta, JIEXPO Kemayoran (2023); and Art Future with Art Xchange Gallery at the Fubon International Conference Center, Taipei (2021). Through these ongoing engagements, Budiono continues to contribute to the evolving discourse of contemporary Indonesian art.
