Isa Ansory

Isa Ansory is a Malang-based artist who has dedicated his career to the advancement of visual arts, both through his artistic practice and his active involvement as a speaker in art discussions engaging diverse communities. Known for his exploratory approach to painting, Isa moves fluidly across a wide range of visual languages, from realism and deconstructive forms to surrealism and abstraction, reflecting a continuous pursuit of creative experimentation.

Active in the exhibition scene since 1992, he has participated in dozens of exhibitions across East Java, Central Java, West Java, and Jakarta, building a longstanding presence within Indonesia’s contemporary art landscape. Among the notable milestones in his career is his solo exhibition What a Doll!!! at Canna Gallery, Jakarta. His sustained contribution to the arts has also been recognized through several awards, including the East Java Artist Award (Visual Arts) presented by the East Java Arts Council.
