Rizky Alison
Rizky Alison (b. 1995, Surabaya) whose practice has evolved steadily since beginning his professional career in 2013. His journey within the exhibition circuit gained momentum following his participation in the Final Project Exhibition at SMSR Surabaya, held at Jatim Expo in 2015. Rooted in the aesthetics of pop surrealism, Alison’s practice examines contemporary social and political realities through a rich vocabulary of symbols, allegories, and satirical undertones. His works are characterized by vibrant palettes and playful visual compositions that invite viewers into seemingly whimsical worlds, while simultaneously offering critical reflections on the complexities, contradictions, and absurdities of everyday life.
